What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substance Use Case Manager position at The Buckeye Ranch?
The Buckeye Ranch is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Case Manager to join our Residential Clinical team. The SUD Case Manager provides one-on-one case management services to clients with substance use disorder diagnoses. This position assists clients with managing chemical dependency issues and promoting efforts for education and recovery. This position will be responsible for providing curriculum to clients, review progress with the Team Lead, and participate in trainings to further enhance their professional focus on mental health and substance use disorder clients in a residential setting.

What youll do:
- Assess clients for appropriate level of care, including behavioral examples, including frequency, duration, severity, and environmental impacts.
- Identify history of trauma, adversity and/or toxic stress that influence presenting problem(s), functioning, and family interaction styles. Determines the level of immediate and future risk of abuse or neglect to children.
- Identify cultural factors that influence strengths, functioning, and family interaction styles. Identifies strengths and functioning of both client and family for utilization in treatment.
- Adapt services, including evidence-based inter-professional team approaches, to the language, cultural norms, and individual preferences of healthcare consumers and family members.
- Coordinate monthly workshops, presentations, and other regularly scheduled prevention activities.
- Ensure that referrals are made as early as possible.
- Implement prevention programming as designed and designated by the client and family team.
- Provide outreach to help educate families and the larger community about mental health as it applies to current community issues, facilitate educational forums and groups to address acculturation and cultural diversity, and link to appropriate services.
- Use trauma-informed, focused interventions to engage clients. Educates clients, family members, and other providers about healthcare conditions, prevention, available treatments, illness and whole health self-management, peer support and recovery.

Who you are:
- You have a bachelor's degree in social work, or related field.
- You have a minimum of a CDCA; LCDCII, LCDCIII, or LSW strongly preferred.
- You have a minimum of two years of experience working with the SUD population.
- You have an active driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
