Job Description:
General Summary:
The Operator manages switchboard operations.
*This position can sit at any of our CHC locations * Big Rapids, Flint, Grand Rapids, Holland, Lansing, Muskegon.
Desired/Required Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Associates degree (preferred)
Specific skills & abilities:
Two years of work experience in similar job or work environment
Medical office experience
Medical assistant certification
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
1. Answer and direct telephone calls taking accurate messages.
2. Manage hospital consults.
3. Administrative duties to include the completion of death certificates, scanning of obituaries, changing of patient status in computer systems and send out sympathy cards. Act as a resource to communicate clinician and administration schedules.
4. All other duties as assigned.
