What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Designer position at The CARA Group, Inc.?

CARA’s manufacturing customer seeks a locally-based Instructional Design Consultant for a 3-month onsite (four (4) days onsite, one (1) day remote) engagement to create experiential learning for their Workday training implementation. Deliverables include, but not limited to job aids, facilitator/participant guides, quick reference cards, and eLearning.

Initial projects include:

  • Data Literacy – eLearning module
  • Power BI – eLearning module

Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ experience working in an instructional design capacity.
  • Prior experience creating experiential learning solutions.
  • Experience with Articulate Rise and Storyline. Experience with other design tools such as video software, audio, etc. is a plus.
  • Working experience with 70/20/10 learning model.
  • Be familiar with agile/ADDIE methods for developing.
  • Skilled in:
    • Asking clarifying questions.
    • Managing expectations of both the subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders.
    • Time management.
    • Solving problems.
    • Moving projects forward.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Location/Duration

  • Onsite in Racine Wisconsin (four (4) days onsite, one (1) day remote)
  • Seeking locally based consultants in the Wisconsin/Illinois region

Qualification for candidates that meet the requirements below includes a recruiter interview, technical interview (with a review of work samples), reference, and background check.
