Position Title: Daytime Kitchen Aide
Reports to:Administrator
Function:Responsible for keeping the kitchen, dining area, pantry, bathroom and trash
area neat and clean. Helps with the set up, break down and serving
of meals.
Responsibilities:
- Set up for breakfast & lunch. Prepare & serve all beverages, put out cereal.
- Wash, sterilize, dry and put away breakfast and dinner (lunch) dishes.
- Clean all kitchen surfaces, coffee pots and appliances not in the cooks’ area.
- Sweep kitchen floor daily and mop as needed.
- Keep trash cans clean and replace bags.
- Keep dining room clean by mopping floor when needed, cleaning tables, dusting, polishing buffet and cleaning chairs and chair pads.
- CHECK SMOKE DETECTORS/ALARMS AND NOTE SAME IN BOOK.
- Water and care for plants in dining room and fill bird feeders.
- Clean and refill sugar bowls, tea container, salt and pepper, and any other in-use containers such as
- Clean windows and curtains and cupboards inside and out.
- Order assigned items by writing the amounts and the items in the order book.
- Check supplies for next meal—make sure juices, milks etc are full each day. (refrigerator and pantry)
- Keeps bathroom off kitchen clean weekly
- Clean recycle room and main entryway
- Additional duties as requested
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.94 per hour
