What are the responsibilities and job description for the Teacher Assistant - EC3 - Part Time position at The Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg?
Cathedral School of St. Jude in St. Petersburg is looking for a qualified teacher assistant. All candidates must have started or possess DCF's 40 clock hours, plus 5 hours of Early Literacy, and have experience in teaching/assisting at the early childhood level (2-5 year olds). CDA is a plus. Pay will be based on education and experience.
- available position is between 7:30 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., with flexible scheduling needed; but not exceeding 29 hours per week. The teacher assistant position works with three-year-old students. This is a permanent, part-time position.
Requirements:
Must have 40 hours DCF training, plus 5 hours of literacy.
Must have level 2 background screening in DCF portal.
Must love working with young children.
- Teaching experience preferred.
Confidence in working with children, parents and fellow staff members.
Able to work positively under the guidance and supervision of administration.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to relate positively with young children
Completion of a Level II fingerprint/background screening clearance is required before start date.
