Position Overview
The Part-Time Clinical Director provides leadership, oversight, and supervision for the clinical services of the organization, focusing on key areas such as clinical supervision, quality assurance, and compliance. The Clinical Director works closely with leadership, clinical teams, and support staff to maintain quality assurance, promote professional development, and strengthen service delivery in alignment with the organization’s mission and vision, within the scope of their part-time hours.
Note: This is a part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week, though it varies depending on need). Responsibilities may be prioritized or shared with other leadership based on the organization’s needs and the director’s availability.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Oversight and Quality Assurance
- Provide direct clinical supervision to licensed and pre-licensed staff, interns, focusing on specific teams or programs as assigned.
- Oversee clinical documentation practices for assigned programs, ensuring compliance with standards.
- Monitor clinical caseloads within designated areas to ensure appropriate service delivery.
- Participate in clinical chart audits and corrective action plans as needed.
Program Leadership and Development
- Collaborate with executive leadership on clinical program development and evaluation, contributing to strategic initiatives within available hours.
- Support the integration of evidence-based practices (e.g., CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, play therapy) in assigned programs.
- Assist in the development and delivery of in-house training and continuing education programs.
- Facilitate case consultation and peer supervision groups as scheduled.
Supervision and Staff Support
- Ensure supervision hours meet the licensure requirements for assigned staff.
- Foster a supportive environment for clinical team members, addressing morale and professional growth within the part-time capacity.
- Support onboarding and training for new clinicians in specific programs.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with licensing board standards, Medicaid regulations, and HIPAA guidelines for assigned areas.
- Support the collection and reporting of clinical outcomes for designated programs.
- Participate in incident review and risk management processes as needed.
Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a liaison between clinical teams and administrative departments for specific matters.
- Attend leadership meetings and contribute to strategic planning initiatives when scheduled.
- Represent the agency in professional and community settings as appropriate, within part-time hours.
QualificationsRequired
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Current Delaware licensure as an LCSW, LPCMH, or eligible for Delaware licensure within 90 days.
- At least 5 years of post-licensure clinical experience, including 2 years in a leadership, supervisory, or program management role.
- Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care, child and adolescent mental health, or school-based services.
- Knowledge of Medicaid, third-party payer documentation, and quality assurance standards.
- Experience supervising clinicians working toward licensure.
