Summary: Our Host is responsible for seating members and guests while making them feel welcome. The Host works cohesively with team members to ensure all information is communicated to assist with providing the best service possible.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 11:30am-8:30pm (Variable schedule depending on business needs)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promptly and warmly greets and directs members & guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
• Helps create an overall enjoyable dining experience and promotes a safe, clean and neat environment for guests and team members.
• Exhibits exceptional communication skills. Gets along well with others, demonstrates flexibility and patience; possesses an interest in people.
• Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal information that is shared.
• Supervises the activities of food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Ensures side work and station setup is properly completed before service.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency safety procedures and helps evacuate guests to safety in the event of fire or emergency.
• Assists with service, including occasional bussing, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Communicates with Valet team to ensure members or guests have their vehicle ready.
• Works well with staff in other departments to perform job duties and during special events or functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned. 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift, up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to push, pull, lift and carry up to 30lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to speak and hear clearly.
• Move safely throughout all areas of the restaurant.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Must follow all safety and sanitation procedures.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must be able to multi-task and keep track of time.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of some Saturdays.
• Ability to communicate clearly with members, guests, teammates, and managers.
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
