What are the responsibilities and job description for the Team Coordinator position at The Child Center Of NY, Inc.?
Responsibilities include:
The Team Coordinator reports to the Project Director
- Provide clinical supervision to the CCP clinicians to help them make comprehensive family system assessments integrating mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse issues
- Provide administrative supervision to the clinicians to maintain timely documentation and ensure compliance with standards set by the Child Center of New York, The Administration for Children’s Services and the State Office for Children and Family Services.
- Provide leadership in team building and collaboration to enhance service delivery
- Provide leadership in building relationships with ACS field offices, CCNY central office, preventive agencies, community based mental health, domestic violence and substance misuse service providers and hospitals
- Ensure timely preparation of administrative reports for central administration and ACS.
- Build capacity of the child welfare workforce by developing/conducting specialized trainings in mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse areas.
- Participate in family team conferences and child safety conferences on an as-needed basis
- Conduct consultations with ACS field office staff on cases involving mental health and/or domestic violence on an as needed basis.
- Participate in multidisciplinary conferences to enhance collaborations with other providers, facilitate case transition and build relationships to improve outcomes for children and families.
- Make appropriate referrals for mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse services.
- Build and maintain working relationships with providers city-wide
Requirements: five years post Masters, LCSW or LMSW. Experience in clinical mental health interventions, domestic violence issues, trauma-informed. Clinical supervisory experience very helpful. Collaborative and creative, able to work in host environment at ACS field office.
