- The Campus Pastor clearly communicates and implements the vision, purpose, and core-values of Root River Community Church while providing pastoral care and leadership for the congregation at the Harmony, MN Campus.
- Responsible to carry out the purpose of Root River Community Church: “Root River Community Church exists to help people in small towns throughout the Root River area to have a life-giving relationship with Jesus.”
- Job Title: Harmony Campus Pastor
- Accountable To: Lead Pastor
- Position Status: Salaried, exempt
- Direct Reports: Campus Staff, Volunteers
- Build relationships with current and potential members
- Lead the development of the Harmony campus
- Oversee all ministry teams for weekend services at campus including: Worship, Kids’ ministry, Hospitality, etc.
- Follow up with guests and help them take next steps
- Ensure facility is functional, organized, and clean
- Recruit volunteers for serve teams at campus and implement leadership development process
- Counsel individuals and couples as needed
- Officiate weddings and funerals as requested
- Assist the crisis care ministry (with others) for hospital visits, death in family, marriage issues, etc.
- Develop and implement a plan for ongoing leadership training and encouragement, and ensure all ministries he is responsible for are raising up leaders through the leadership
- Provide general ministry oversight and assistance as needed and assigned
- Strong desire to see lives in the local community transformed by the gospel and the Church mobilized to live out the Great Commission
- A person skilled in recruiting, training, vision casting, and developing others
- A mature and tested faith in Jesus Christ with a strong knowledge of the Bible
- Ability to work independently and to complete tasks within established timeframes
- Ability to work effectively with members, ministry leaders, and teams
- The successful individual must have a proven track record of effective leadership, judgment and above reproach character
- Be a member in good standing
