JOB SUMMARY
The Program Aide is responsible for the planning and supervising of youth activities for Parks and Recreation Department.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for monitoring participants utilizing the recreation center facilities;
Enforces policies and maintains order;
Inspects center equipment for proper condition and possible safety hazards;
Responsible for the scheduling and transport of equipment required for events;
All other duties Assigned by the Program Coordinator
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer phones;
Responds to emails;
Collects payments and closes and balances cash drawer at the end of the shift
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Prefer Candidates to have a High School Diploma.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to understand and carry out instructions and to complete work assignment.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
Ability to plan and implement classes, various activities, and special events.
Ability to maintain complex records and prepare technical reports.
Ability to work a digital camera.
Ability to maintain discipline and encourage compliance with safety rules and regulations

Most possess a valid driver’s license.
Background checks producing acceptable BMV and criminal history reports required.
Must be 18 or older.
