Employment Opportunity
A Patron Experience Librarian directs and supervises a Reference Service area as assigned. Responsibilities include management, collection development and reference service. Provides professional reference and advisory service to patrons, and manages key library services. Responsible for selection, maintenance and coordination of major library collections. Plans and presents programs. Hires, trains, and supervises library employees. Responsible for preparation and administration of the section budget. This is a professional position working under the direction of a Library Divison Manager. Participates as a member of the Library's executive staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requires a Master's Degree in Library Science or related fields plus a minimum of three years experience as a library professional or para- professional, and management or supervisory experience. Thorough knowledge of professional principles, practices, and techniques of library science and of library management. Extensive knowledge of literature, familiarity with fiction and nonfiction for multiple age groups. Experience in planning and executing programs. Spanish language skills preferred.

Schedule
Some evenings and Saturdays are required.
