Your role at Clorox:
Deployment Planners (DP) play a key role in driving business results: Product Availability, Customer Service and Transportation Costs. This role owns responsibility for ensuring appropriate supply of inventory network wide. The DP administrators use various systems/resources to manage product movement from source location to shipping locations throughout the Clorox network. The role considers demand, current inventory, inventory targets, customer service objectives and costs. This position scrutinizes Planning system output and makes decisions that optimize business trade-offs. This role should operate with a bias for action while working collaboratively across PSO to drive product availability, inventory performance, and cost minimization. Due to the broad scope of this role’s responsibilities, the DP needs to be able to work independently and with little supervision to execute an accurate inventory plan. They must take initiative and apply analytical skills daily that align company inventory parameters with the forecasted/un-forecasted product demand signals.In this role, you will:
Work autonomously to manage the deployment of finished goods from manufacturing/postponement locations into the Clorox network optimizing supply chain costs and customer service.
- Analyzes the complexities of systems settings and recommendations, applying independent decision making to balance cost and service.
- Uses a high level of influence with cross-functional partners to make comprehensive decisions
- Balances demand requests against stocking and shipping requirements as well as system generated demand signals
- Understands and communicates transit timing and the complexities of the transportation market and DC network with the objective of meeting the deadlines for completing the inventory plan.
Manages out-of-stock and critical receipt information for finished goods.
- Analyzes system generated alerts and applies independent recommendations and insights to make decisions.
- Works to protect case fill performance without negatively impacting Premium Freight metrics.
- Works cross-functionally with plant schedulers, supply planners, transportation, DC Operations and customer service.
Focuses on improving and maintaining KPIs such as Intermodal utilization, Truckload utilization, Customer Case Fill and reducing Premium Freight spend.
Recommend process and system upgrades to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of deployment processes.
- Contributing cost savings ideas
- Keeping current with new and existing systems that support Product Supply
- Support the Planner and Deployer onboarding processes
- Executing special internal projects as needed throughout the year (examples are driving new reports or upgrades to processes)
- Representing the Deployment Team in meetings and cross functional project teams
What we look for:
Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or a GED from accredited institution
· 1 year of work experience in a corporate work environment (supply planning, DRP, deployment, scheduling, inventory management, customer service)
· Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:
· 2 years of experience in supply chain planning, DRP, deployment, scheduling, inventory management, or customer service
· Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Project) and Outlook. SAP, Ortec, and Kinaxis Rapid Response Experience
· APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
· Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
· Quick learner of multiple systems
· Leadership & Interpersonal Skills – willingness to assist co-workers as needed
· Problem Solving - ability to analyze multiple factors and determine correct action
· Decision Making – ability to make quick decisions using multiple sources of data
· Able to work autonomously with limited supervision
