What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Supervisor position at The Cook & Boardman Recruiting Team?
Schedule and supervise team of field installers. Assist with installation as necessary. Supervise approximately 5-6 Installers.
Essential Functions
Attends job site weekly meetings
Schedule and supervise installers each day on the job sites (Scheduling of internal resources w/ the assigned Project Manager for that branch)
Toolbox topics
Daily reports on job sites (Both written and verbal Daily Updates for all active sites to the direct PM)
Use tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware
Report any damaged products to supervisor
Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly per the A3 Standards Documentation
Liaison between Installers and Project Managers and onsite customer stakeholders
Assist developing young installers with in-the-field training
Verify that all installations are completed to A3’s Guidelines and Standards documentation
Quality control site walks checking behind installations performed by internal and external resources
Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
Strongly suggested 7 years of installation experience in low voltage systems
Experience using power tools, such as saws and drills
Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred
Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
Understanding the basics of low voltage of what make low voltage solutions operate and be able to teach that to other resources as needed
Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job
Physical DemandsSpends majority of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Work EnvironmentMay be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
