We are currently searching for a Program Officer to join our team. This person will contribute to the overall success of the organization, and will gain tremendously in return. This position may be for you if you are:

Position Overview:
This position is responsible for overseeing (as detailed below) a grants portfolio, outreach and coordination for a variety of programs throughout the year including consultations, meetings, public programs, webinars, annual awards dinner, and project directors’ meeting. The professional in this role will be present, as requested, for programs and events, and will be involved in supporting the foundation’s social media efforts and other duties as assigned. For this role a MA degree is required.
Responsibilities:
Grantmaking
- Provides guidance to prospective grantees
- Reads and analyzes LOI’s and full proposals
- Presents proposals at staff and selection committee review meetings
- Participates in site visits
- Writes semi-annual report responses
- Ongoing communication and support for grantees
- Reviews and writes approval letters for new grantees
- Maintains internal records and reporting of LOI’s and grants
Meetings and Events
- Researches, gathers and edits materials for the board books
- Awards and grants write ups for board books
- Participates in writing and editing materials for Awards Dinner program book, Pomegranate Prize Breakfast/Symposium program books and Project Directors Meeting program book
- Participates in the planning, administration and coordination of Awards Dinner and Pomegranate Prize breakfast
Awards Process
- Reads and analyzes dossiers and portfolios
- Presents dossiers and reader reviews at staff and selection committee review
- Participates in site-visits
- Maintains awards records and information in foundation’s data base
- Participates in Pomegranate Prize selection process
Foundation Media Presence
· Works with the Editorial Director on all relevant projects including:
o Working on the Foundation’s social media
o Liaising with video editor, as needed
o Updating the website on an as needed basis
