Position Overview

The Head Baker is responsible for overseeing all bakery production, maintaining quality and consistency, managing inventory, and leading the bakery team. This role requires hands-on baking experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating excellent baked goods.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily bakery production, including breads, biscuits, pastries, cookies, and specialty items
  • Ensure all products meet The Creamery Co.’s quality, flavor, and presentation standards
  • Develop and refine recipes, including seasonal and specialty offerings
  • Train, schedule, and supervise bakery staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen that meets health department standards
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and waste control
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning, pricing, and production needs
  • Ensure consistency across all baked goods day to day

Qualifications

  • 2 years of professional baking experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work early mornings and weekends
  • Leadership mindset with the ability to train and motivate a team
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Passion for baking and commitment to quality

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 35.0 per week
