What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surveillance position at The Crossing at Big Creek?
Surveillance Technicians spend a large amount of their time in observation rooms listening to audio tapes and watching video monitors of activities happening in the facility.
They also retain and file audio and video records of activities in the event that the records need to be used for investigations. Workers in these positions may be required to work odd hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends. The qualified applicant will be able to:
Administer, collect, preserve, review and retrieve requests in support of situations related to crime prevention, security investigations, customer or employee incidents
Use various video equipment to locate and process requests for video or audio files
Works closely with the IT Department to ensure the operation, maintenance and monitoring of video technology system equipment
Will have a detailed working understanding and experience in networking technology at the physical and logical levels, and file and print services concepts and practices
Installation and maintenance of IP video surveillance equipment to include IP CCT cameras, IP video surveillance-specific network storage, and door access control systems
Surveillance experience preferred.
Maintain a current inventory of physical security hardware and software solutions
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong organizational acumen and a proclivity for attention to details
- Able to multi-task, and view multiple screens
- Ability to work any shift, holiday or weekend and/or be on call
Requirement:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Successful background check including employment verification(s) and criminal history
