We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Dental Hygienist to join our team at The Dental Center in Houston, TX.
About the Job:
As a Dental Hygienist with The Dental Center, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative spirit with our doctors and team members to deliver exceptional patient care. You will be responsible for providing preventative dental care services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and educations on oral health.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality dental hygiene services to patients, including cleanings, exams, and education on oral health.
- Collaborate with doctors and team members to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, doctors, and other team members to ensure excellent patient satisfaction and experience.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in dental hygiene.
Requirements:
- CURRENT DENTAL HYGIENIST LICENSE IN TEXAS AND AN ASSOCIATE'S OR BACHELOR'S DEGREE IN DENTAL HYGIENE (WHERE REQUIRED)
- EXCELLENT WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF DENTISTRY, DENTAL HYGIENE PROCEDURES, DENTAL PATIENT SCREENING AND MEDICAL HISTORY DOCUMENTATION
- CPR CERTIFICATION
Preferred Experience:
- 2-3 YEARS OF CLINICAL EXPERIENCE
- EXPERIENCE USING VELSCOPE, DIAGNODENT, DIGITAL SCANNER, DIGITAL X-RAYS AND ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORD SYSTEMS
- DESIRED TO CONTINUE LEARNING AND GROW CLINICAL SKILLS TO MEET NEEDS OF PATIENTS AND PROVIDE PREVENTATIVE CARE AND OVERALL MAINTENANCE OF PATIENTS' DENTAL HEALTH
- CLINICAL NEEDS AS REQUIRED BY OFFICE
Physical Requirements:
- ABILITY TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES AS DEEMED NECESSARY BY THE OFFICE/DOCTOR/HEARTLAND DENTAL WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION. REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS MAY BE MADE TO ENABLE INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES TO PERFORM THE ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- PROLONGED PERIODS SITTING AND STANDING
- MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT AND CARRY UP TO 45 POUNDS AT TIMES
- AVALIABILITY TO ATTEND VIRTUAL TRAINING SESSIONS (OR IN-PERSON) PERIODICALLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR
- AS PART OF OUR COMMITMENT TO MAINTAINING A SAFE AND HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT FOR BOTH TEAM MEMBERS AND PATIENTS, A TUBERCULOSIS (TB) TEST IS REQUIRED FOR ALL NEW HIRES IN DENTAL OFFICE POSITIONS. THIS IS A STANDARD REQUIREMENT FOR DENTAL OFFICE ROLES AND MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO STARTING EMPLOYMENT. THE TEST WILL BE ARRANGED DURING THE PRE-EMPLOYMENT PROCESS, AND ANY NECESSARY GUIDANCE OR PAPERWORK WILL BE PROVIDED. NOT APPLICABLE IN THE STATE OF FL & TN
