What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swim Coach position at The Denver Athletic Club?
The Denver Athletic Club is looking for a part-time Swim Coach to join the team!
WHAT is the job: Swim Coach! The Denver Athletic Club swim team is comprised of about 60 swimmers (6 to 16 years of age). You'll assist with lesson plans and run daily practices, communicate effectively with team members and coaches, attend daily practice and occasional weekend swim meets, create and maintain a safe and fun environment for members, and you'll be required to attend afternoon practice at least four days a week. Occasionally, you'll be asked to attend swim meets on the weekends. This position can lead to increased income potential through swim lesson opportunities.
WHERE is the job: 1325 Glenarm Place in downtown Denver. The Denver Athletic Club is across the street from the Colorado Convention Center, 2 blocks from the 16th Street Mall and a 3 minute walk from Civic Center Park. Twice a month, you'll be asked to attend swim meets in the Denver area.
WHEN you would work: We practice Monday - Friday between 4:15 PM - 7:30 PM. On occasion, you'll need to be available for weekend swim meets. This is a part time position.
WHO we are looking for: The ideal candidate will be passionate about swimming and will have a "teach first" mentality. You must be dependable and on time for all practices and meets. You should be a USA Swimming certified coach or willing to work towards certification. You must have previous swim team coaching experience and previous competitive swimming experience. A HS diploma or GED is also required.
