What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Intern, Summer (New York Office) position at The Dorm LLC?
Mission: Since 2009, our mission at The Dorm has been to guide young adults towards independence through evidence-based clinical therapies, community support and practical skill-building.
Opportunity: 40 hours wk, stipend payment, further develop clinical skills.
Objectives & Goal:
- Utilizing evidence-based practices, we seek to ensure ethical and responsive care to all clients and their families.
- Assist Clients on an individual and community level to build mastery and gain independence.
- To provide a robust learning experience, that is both didactic and experiential.
- Access to weekly 1:1 Clinical Supervision and weekly Group Supervision.
Essential Job Duties:
- Co-Facilitate Therapeutic Groups that are both Content and Process based.
- Foster community development within the Dorm and promote positive socialization.
- Complete all notes via electronic health record in accordance with deadlines.
- Complete all necessary training in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Assist clinical team with obtaining drug toxicology screen on clients.
- Perform additional job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Related Mental Health Field (MSW, MHC, MFT, PC) or currently in Masters Program.
- Proficient computer skills, ability to complete clinical notes and documentation accordingly.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with a one-hour lunch break each day.
