The Doubletree by Hilton Burlington is Vermont’s largest hotel & conference center. Known as a premier location for meetings, events and travelers the Doubletree offers guests a quality experience when visiting Vermont. The hotel has recently completed a $16 million dollar renovation to include all 30,000 sq ft of event space, guest rooms, public areas and more! This is a unique opportunity to join a growing and seasoned hospitality team.
Administer required training and development of the food & beverage management team.
Operate the food & beverage area utilizing Brand Standards & AAM 15 Management best practices.
- Create and maintain optimal staffing levels to deliver outstanding service during breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef & the Catering Sales Team in completing a formal menu review and revision: quarterly for restaurant & semi-annually for banquets.
Works closely with Event Managers in the preparation for conferences & catering events.
Suggests ways to maximize revenue from events, upscale recommendations and appeal cash concession offerings.
Stays abreast of emerging food & beverage trends & implement those that would benefit the hotel.
Consistently enforce all hotel policy regarding employee attendance, appearance standards & service standards.
- Ensure responsible alcoholic beverage service is practiced at all times. Strictly adhere to all local & state regulations regarding food & alcohol service.
Manage payroll expenses to maintain high service standards and payroll cost within budget.
Sustain food & beverage cost of sales to align with budget.
Function as member of the hotel leadership team.
Position Requirements
To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:
· Minimum of 5 years management experience as a Food & Beverage Director or similar position in a large, upscale conference hotel
· Bachelor degree in business, hospitality or related field
· Savvy in menu engineering
· Skilled in conference and event execution for groups of 500 plus
· Above average skill in Microsoft Office applications
· Flexibility & willingness to work a varied schedule based on the needs of the business'
