What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Health Specialist Float position at The Emily Program?

Floater will receive premium compensation and float differential
The Behavioral Health Specialist supports PHP, Inpatient and Residential milieus by facilitating therapeutic skills groups, self-monitoring and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance. The float role will provide back-up coverage across sites, or in a virtual format, within a specific geographic region. Back-up coverage will be utilized to support planned or unplanned PTO, as well as coverage during recruitment for open roles as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitates therapy groups including skills groups, self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement
- Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks
- Provides milieu support
- Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment
- Participates in client therapeutic outings
- May meet with clients to provide support and in-the-moment skills coaching
- Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, supervision, and/or case consultation meetings and seeks supervision when needed
- Ability to engage, coach, monitor, and support clients as needed
- Completes clinical documentation in compliance with The Emily Program and Veritas policies and regulatory standards
- Maintains at all times the confidentiality of former and current Emily Program and Veritas clients’ protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and Emily Program and Veritas policy. Additionally, maintain confidentiality in any position with access to employee personal information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in mental health-related field.
- AAC is required in Washington State
- Must have valid driver’s license and be authorized to drive.
- Previous direct mental health experience preferred
