Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment.
- Assess and monitor student progress through standardized testing and informal assessments.
- Foster literacy education through innovative teaching methods tailored to individual learning styles.
- Provide support for students with special needs, including early intervention strategies and behavior management.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and other professionals to support child welfare and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress with parents.
- Create a safe and nurturing atmosphere conducive to learning, encouraging exploration and curiosity.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
Qualifications
- CDA in Preschool or related field preferred.
- Experience working with children in educational settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
- Strong understanding of Florida VPK standards and best practices in teaching.
- Knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management strategies.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with the Florida VPK program is a plus.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning.
