Guest Services Representative
The Fairfield Inn & Suites of Winona is in search for a new member to join our team as a part-time Guest Service Representative for weekends. We are looking for someone who understands warmth is more than a temperature, it’s a personality. Someone who is sales driven, innovative, ambitious and has a passion for exceeding guest’s expectations. Role Expectations:
- Create an unforgettable experience for our guests by delivering personalized service
- Represent the hotel in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
- In order to truly be able to deliver seamless service, Guest Service Representatives are trained in all aspects of the guest’s experience: Check Out Experience (First Shift), Check In Experience (Second Shift), Night Auditor (Third Shift), Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance and Breakfast.

- Increase hotel’s revenue by selling rooms, collecting sales leads, and being a hotel ambassador.
· Attend and participate in daily promise meetings. Participation in these meetings helps inform, improve, and inspire the entire team to bring the culture to life every day.
- Create a welcoming and personalized arrival for each of our incoming guests. Making sure to show recognition and appreciation to our BonVoy Elite Members.
- Notify and resolve guest requests promptly and with warm hospitality.
- Take responsibility to correct guest’s problems/concerns by listening, apologizing, empathizing, resolving, notifying and following up on the situation.
- Ensure each guest’s experience was memorable and verify all payment information is correct on the reservation during the check-out process. Thank the guest for experiencing our hotel and follow up on any future reservations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
- Feel confident being alone on property; knowing how to handle guest concerns and lead an emergency.
- Administering and managing cash handling and payment responsibilities.
- Become a Winona Ambassador by assisting guests with recommendations for local entertainment, restaurants, or transportation. Associates are encouraged to give personal recommendations/experiences by joining company sponsored team outings and community events.
- Strive to exceed Marriott’s brand standards.
- Strengthening teamwork by efficiently and effectively maintaining communication with guests and all departments.
- Take responsibility for the property and job equipment by understanding the company’s policies and procedures.
- Reserve, help plan and set-up events in our meeting space. This may include moving equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ensure the entire hotel’s success by handling additional duties as requested by guests and management.
Requirements:
- Optimistic attitude
- Flexible Schedule, shifts may vary between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
- Willing to work both Holidays and Weekends
- High School diploma or GED
- Customer service experience is preferred
- Sales experience is preferred
