Job Description
The Maintenance Engineer position is a team player who uses their skills to contribute to the overall upkeep and maintenance of the hotel. Applicants must have proficiency in two or more of the following areas: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry and Painting.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the property's facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and functional environment for our guests and colleagues.
- Manage maintenance calls for hotel guest rooms and all departments of the hotel.
- Identify and address maintenance issues throughout the property.
- Take active role of preventative maintenance throughout the building and guestrooms.
- Troubleshoot and repair of hotel electronic door lock and key systems.
- Using building automated systems that monitor equipment throughout the hotel.
- Advocate for the safety of themselves and others.
- Walking the property, checking various equipment rooms, systems, and logging any issues.
- Maintain departmental communication standards including daily work logs, email requests, shift meetings, and monthly meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance while on duty.
Qualifications
Your Skills and Qualifications Include:
- Proficiency in two or more areas in the following: HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, and Painting.
- Basic level computer skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize daily work.
- Preferred experience in hotel or luxury environment.
- Availability for days, evenings and weekends
Additional Information
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Extended periods of standing and walking throughout shifts
- Light to heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of objects.
- 90% indoor work, 10% outdoor
Visa Requirements: Must have proof of valid U.S. work authorization.
