Lead Teacher

Infant, Toddler, Preschool 3's-5's  Teacher Job Description:

The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:
- The passion in their hearts to make a difference in the lives of other and in the lives of the children in our care. Must have a passion to teach children about Jesus!
- A professional and positive attitude. You MUST love to spontaneously break out in a dance party at any given moment, give hugs, wipe boogers, hold a crying toddler, play on the floor, have pretend conversation "on the phone" into a block while holding another friend so that they don't run in the classroom , and most of all eat pretend food like a champ!
- Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
- Provide basic needs to children by] feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
- Prepare materials and classrooms for fun activities. Prepare lesson plans according to our academic curriculum as well as posting lesson plans.
- Teach both academic and social skills and Bible lessons! Academic skills include colors, shapes, numbers and letter recognition, and personal hygiene. Bible lessons will be planned and taught according to our One in Christ curriculum.
- Observe and provide basic benchmark assessments to evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Able to stand for long periods of time, frequent walking, sitting on the floor and playing with children, being able to lift up to a 40lb child in an emergency situation and sometimes run or sprint!
- You must be able to get up off the floor and stand up quickly.
- Must be able to have fun and engage with each child and sometimes even be silly.
- A loving and compassionate demeanor with children. You must be prepared to be silly, laugh, love, and learn more about children at this age than you ever have before. This is by far one of the most joyous places to work, but you must be prepared to accept the challenges and benefits this job has to offer.

Desired Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of experience
• Age Groups: Infant , Toddler, Preschool 3's -5's
• High school degree
• First Aid Training, CPR Training

Job Qualifications:
Must be able to speak English clearly and be able to communicate with other staff and parents clearly. Spanish speaking as a second language is a plus!
Must be able to pass FBI Fingerprint and background check.
Certified in Pediatric First aid and CPR (we will provide if not current). Additional training will be provided upon hire.Additional Information:

• Compensation: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour
• Industry: Child Care
• Availability: Part-time with a potential to move into Full-Time
