Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (*_70%_*)
· Maintain the accounts payable system
· Receive purchase orders and check requests from staff, check for accuracy and completion
· Accurately process payments to vendors and service providers through checks, ACH, etc. in a timely manner
· Manage vendor contracts and communications including reviewing monthly bills for accuracy, following up on issues/errors, and negotiating better rates as appropriate
· Accurately track outgoing payments in Quickbooks Online
· Maintain corporate credit card system including monthly reconciliations and payment
· Maintain organized and efficient record keeping systems
· Monitor and maintain records on petty cash
Reports (20%)
· Assist Finance Director with preparation of financial reports using required format
· Assist in the preparation and maintenance of all records for year closing and adjustments
· Assist with preparation for audits
Education and Experience
· Associates Degree or certificate in accounting/bookkeeping (preferred), or
· 2 years’ experience with AP/AR tasks, payroll, data entry, and bookkeeping
· 1 years’ experience using Quickbooks Online or Desktop (required)
Skills and Knowledge
· Knowledge of general accounting practices and principles
· Highly organized and efficient.
· Proficient with using software like Microsoft Office/Microsoft 0365 or equivalent
· Attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to meet deadlines
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
