What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Associate position at The Farm House?
The Farm House Tack Shop is hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Assistant in our Landrum, SC location. We are expanding and need you! We are a retail provider for equestrians that ride in a range of disciplines consisting of Hunters, Jumpers, Dressage, Eventing, Trail and more. We offer a range of inventory from basic barn essentials to show ring attire. If The Farm House can't find a product for a customer then nobody can.
This position deals with a high volume of inventory being packaged and shipped out daily and will assist with receiving and pricing merchandise. Responsibilities will can also include daily errands such as going to the post office and bank, taking trash out, cleaning packaging area weekly, ordering mail/packaging supplies, filing and more.
You will interact with all levels of employees and at times customers. Must be able to stand most of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds. The shipping department utilizes the Ship Station program and ships items with Fed Ex, UPS and USPS. The ideal candidate will have shipping and packing experience, be reliable, respectful, a team player and be comfortable communicating and working with a variety of personalities. We need you to have excellent telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
