Commercial Credit Administrator
JOB SUMMARY
The Commercial Credit Administrator is responsible for Provide support to Credit Underwriters and Chief Credit Officer in managing all aspects of and reporting on the bank’s loan portfolio. As well, this position supports the residential mortgage process through appraisal reviews and the commercial real estate underwriting process through facilitation of internal and external valuations. The CCA supports the Credit Underwriting Team, Special Asset Officer and Chief Credit Officer by assisting in the due diligence of commercial borrowers during and by creating weekly loan packets for OLC and SLC.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Residential and Commercial Appraisals / Evaluations – 35%
- Assist in the first mortgage appraisals process for compliance to FHLMC guidelines – performing reviews of residential appraisals.
- Assist in the commercial loan appraisal process for compliance with FIRREA, including engaging commercial appraisers.
- Order and monitor the acquisition of commercial loan evaluations from third parties.
- Create commercial and agricultural evaluations of real estate on some commercial real estate secured loans that are < $500,000.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Bank’s approved appraisers list – both residential and commercial.
Business Analytics / Reporting – 25%
- Prepare of various monthly and quarterly management reports through the use of Business Analytics, Precision Lender, and Director.
- Become familiar with using and then constructing reports in Business Analytics in order to support the Credit and Collection teams.
- Prepare various periodic bank management reports.
- Prepare various periodic loan reports for the Board of Directors.
Commercial Underwriting Support – 25%
- Obtain client Credit Bureau Reports in support of loan requests and reviews.
- Obtain reports from the office of Secretary of State to ascertain legal and/or lien status of prospective and existing clients.
- Backup administrator for Precision Lender, and EDR Software.
Department Support – 15%
- Assist the Senior Credit Underwriter in preparations for Officers Loan Committee, Senior Loan Committee, and Directors Loan Committees.
- Support the Chief Credit Officer
- Provide assistance to Special Asset officer with problem real estate and commercial loans.
Other duties as assigned.
BANKWIDE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist internal and external customers to serve and exceed their expectations.
- Accountable for all State and Federal regulations and bank policies/procedures that apply to this position and department.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
High School Education or Equivalent
and 3 – 5 years’ experience or
College Degree in finance, accounting
CERTIFICATIONS
Employee Development certifications: Bank Products and Services; Specialized Skills; Personal Development; IBA Certification.
JOB KNOWLEDGE
Possess strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite software. Preferred strong knowledge of the bank’s core system and all associated software applications. Knowledge of business financial statements; business and personal tax returns, and other general account knowledge is preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Two to five years of similar or related experience.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Must be able to interact well with all departments including loan, compliance, collections, operations and audit. Must be detailed oriented with good written and communications skills and have an ability to multi task.
