Job Opening: Delivery Driver (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Location: Jacksonville
Start Date: Immediate
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, farm perks
We’re looking for a reliable, kind-hearted, and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team at The Farms of Illinois — where we proudly say: We’re more than your distributor. We’re your farmers.
This is more than just a driving job. You’re the last link in the chain that brings pasture-raised meat, freshly harvested produce, small-batch dairy, pantry staples, and more directly to families, chefs, and retailers across the region. You’re not just dropping off boxes — you’re building trust with customers and helping us grow a strong local food system.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver farm-fresh goods to homes, restaurants, retailers, and schools across Central Illinois
- Handle packages with care, including lifting, sorting, and organizing orders
- Load/unload your vehicle efficiently — we’ll train you on any equipment if needed
- Ensure orders arrive on time, intact, and with a friendly attitude
- Maintain basic delivery records and communicate any changes or concerns clearly
- Represent The Farms of Illinois professionally and warmly in every interaction
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, background check
- Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistics/customer service role is a plus
- Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs throughout the day
- Comfortable navigating both rural roads and city streets
- Great time management and communication skills — you're organized and kind
- Willingness to learn and grow with our team
- Familiarity with pallet jacks or forklifts is helpful but not required
Why Join Us?
- Be part of a mission-driven team that supports local farmers, artisans, and producers
- Help bring high-quality, ethically raised and grown food to people who care
- Enjoy farm perks and work that makes a difference in your community
- Flexible scheduling and potential for additional responsibilities if interested
If you’ve ever dreamed of being the bridge between the field and the fork, we’d love to meet you.
To apply, send us a short message and your resume to info@thefarmsil.com. Tell us why you’re interested — we care more about character and reliability than perfect resumes.
