As a Body Shop Technician, you will be tasked with evaluating collision damage and performing body repair on vehicles. This process begins with testing and checking vehicles to determine the amount of structural, body, mechanical and interior damage. You will also work with the estimator to determine the cost of the repair. Repairs to the vehicle may include straightening bent bodies, replacing body parts, removing dents and damaged panels and refinishing the metal using a variety of tools. Collision experience is required.
Automotive Body Technician Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- automotive collision training highly preferred
- 5 years of collision repair experience
- Commitment to excellent customer service
- High productivity while maintaining high quality work
- Ability to work well with co-workers
- Strong detail orientation
- Ability to understand manufacturer’s specifications
- Selected candidate must be able to perform all job functions that require bending, standing, lifting, and reaching.
