What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursery Caregiver position at The First Presbyterian Church Midland, Texas?
**This position requires work on Sundays!*
Purpose
To provide a safe, loving, Christ-centered care for children ages birth through kindergarten and while providing for spiritual needs within the nursery.

- Know and commit your support to the FPC mission statement and values including the staff covenant.
- Be patient, loving and caring with kids.
- Be able to work as a team with all caregivers.
Accountability
Nursery Caregivers are under the supervision of the Nursery Director, and are accountable to the Executive Pastor and the Session.
Relationships
This position will require a close and positive daily working relationship with all members of the staff, Covenant Partners, guests and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Make sure the room is safe and sanitize and ready to go before the children arrive
- Keep children safe while in our care
- Help with incorporating monthly lessons throughout the day
- Interact with the children
- Change diapers, wash hands / clean noses etc
- Help clean and disinfect the room after each nursery .
- Clean before and after snacks, lunch etc.
- Be up to date in CPR and Ministry safe
Evaluation:
The Director of Nursery Ministry is evaluated annually by the Christian Formation Pastor. This evaluation is reviewed by the Personnel Ministry of the Session.
