Administrative Support 2 - Lawyer Regulation - Headquarters
Minimum starting salary $32,791.97 with an excellent benefits package including employer paid pension contribution | Employees of The Florida Bar are eligible to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
Summary function: Receives written and telephone inquiries regarding attorney conduct and discipline history. Provides public information to callers and creates public record requests. Imports emailed correspondence and enters relevant data into case management database. Responsible for providing administrative support to Lawyer Regulation.
Required minimum education: High School Diploma (or its equivalency). Appropriate degree may substitute for experience.
Required minimum professional work experience: Three (3) years of related experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Serves as the division contact center's primary attendant. Handles phone, email, and Mail-In inquiries from the public, regulatory agencies, and members of the Bar including but not limited to providing information about members' discipline histories and other lawyer regulation functions. Refers misdirected callers to other departments or agencies. Responds to questions as appropriate.
Drafts correspondence regarding information for Florida Bar members, to the public, to other state bars and national organizations. Processes discipline history requests for the same.
Receives public record requests (PRRs), enters PRRs to the public records request system, assigns PRRs to appropriate branch/individual. Produce and send PRRs.
Opens, date stamps, copies, and distributes incoming mail. Mails departmental correspondence as requested. Sends correspondence to appropriate branch offices.
Scans/saves signed out-going correspondence and files electronically. In compliance with retention policies, performs monthly and annual maintenance on disciplinary correspondence produced by the position.
