What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Galway Irish Pub?
The Galway Irish Public House is seeking a Bartender to be an integral part of the successful bar program and responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of daily operations.
Being detail oriented is needed for someone in this position as they will be charged with tracking and maintaining inventory and following industry guidelines and safety sanitation protocols.
A successful candidate must be able to identify ways to sustainably grow the client base of the organization, and maintain a loyal customer base by providing all clients with an exceptional experience, food, and drinks.
DUTIES:
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and customer service.
- Create and maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all customers.
- Train and supervise bar staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of beverages and food served and overall experience at the bar.
- Manage and maintain the bar's shift finances, including cash handling and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding alcohol service and sales.
- Collaborate with other owners and Kitchen Manager, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the bar's offerings, including craft cocktail menu and specials, rotating wine and beer selections, promotions, and events.
- Thoroughly oversee sanitation and cleanliness on the bar.
- Receive FOH staff's end of shift reports and ensure that all FOH staff’s closing tasks have been correctly completed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Knowledge of a second language will be considered a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
