Summary
The analyst prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with GEL Laboratories LLC’s (GEL) Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Demonstrates and supports GEL’s core values
- Performs procedures that involve basic operation and calibration of area-specific instrumentation
- Performs basic troubleshooting of instrumentation and/or methods
- Demonstrates consistent and reliable performance in work procedures and methodology
- Knowledgeable in work procedures to the point of being able to successfully train others
- Ability and willingness to take special assignments
- Ability to perform peer review of analytical data
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Meets production goals with minimal supervision
Bachelor of Science, preferably in Chemistry, Biology, or related science degree
One or more years of related laboratory experience is required.
