Description:
- Qualified and performs according to specified procedures and techniques
- Ability to interpret drawings and other documents
- Working knowledge of fixtures and setup parameters
- Verify that the equipment to be used for the work is appropriate for the use with the procedure and has the capability to meet the applicable requirements
- Inspects and certifies work performed to specified standards and completes necessary documentation
- Use of conventional and precision measuring devices
- Operate hoist and crane in a safe and knowledgeable manner
- Set up and operate grinding machine and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from surfaces, sharpen edges or corners, or buff, hone, or polish metal workpieces
- Perform receiving inspection of materials and components, assuring compliance with codes, specifications, and industry standards
- Perform inspection of in-process fabrication and completed work utilizing inspection and test plans
- Monitor existing processes and track nonconformities to develop preventive and corrective measures
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Performs additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Prefer minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in an occupational function
- Able to read and interpret drawings, routings, use simple math to perform basic calculations, and use basic hand-held measuring devices
- Good, punctual attendance
- Physical requirements – person must be able stand for the entire shift (up to 10 hours).
- Use heavy grinders at waist level for long periods of time.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 250 pounds while being assisted by hoists, slings, forklift or other human or mechanical assistance.
- Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without getting tired.
- Adjust body movements or equipment controls to keep pace with speed changes of moving objects.
- Be physically active for long periods without getting tired or out of breath.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Salary : $28,400 - $36,000
