What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping for Boutique Hotel position at The Getaway?
This is a part-time housekeeping contractor position. Hours can and will vary weekly and seasonally based on business needs. Housekeeper must be available for potential work 7 days a week including weekends, and holidays. Hours are mostly between 11am - 3pm. Experienced employees only, references required. $17 - $20/hour, determined by experience. Tips and bonuses.

What you’ll do:
- Professionally clean and maintain 5 apartments
- Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing all surfaces
- Move all reasonably portable furniture in rooms to clean under and behind
- Laundry: bedding, towels, etc as needed
- Make beds
- Create a welcoming environment for guests by ensuring apartments are clean and cared for
- Deal with reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Identify and notify management of any damage, deficits and disturbances
- Create maintenance/damage reports with photos as necessary
- Collect and remove trash and debris
- Replenish consumable items such as soaps, paper products, trash bags
- Maintain hot tub if needed; no experience necessary - we offer on-site training
- Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of company-related practices
- Other responsibilities as assigned - because every day looks different
The skills you’ll need and position requirements:
- Housekeeping experience, references required
- Reliable transportation
- Knowledge of English language
- Customer-oriented and friendly
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Weekend & Holiday availability
- Attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop, squat, kneel and lift over 20 pounds
- Possession of smartphone and personal email address
