Responsibilities as an Administrative Assistant:
- Review and verify payroll for accuracy Complete payroll-based journal entries quarterly
- Maintain up-to-date personnel and administrative files
- Process accounts payable for approval and timely payment
- Reconcile credit card statements
- Manage supply ordering and inventory
- Maintain and monitor resident/patient fund accounts
- Initiates Representative Payee reports and direct deposit requests to social security administration.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in a long-term care or healthcare environment
- Minimum high school diploma with experience or training in office management. Degree or some college preferable.
- Experience in payroll management
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll systems
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to fulfill job requirements in a high-energy, high-traffic area.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 90 pounds.
- Extended periods of sitting, walking, typing, reaching, and bending
- Hand and finger dexterity to use computers and office equipment
