The Goddard School® located in Overland Park, KS is seeking a motivated self-starter for the position of Assistant Director.
The candidate must have exemplary leadership skills, excellent communication skills, sales and marketing experience and a good understanding of National and State Preschool Standards. The candidate must also have a proven record of supporting a faculty in all aspects of education including training and mentoring. A bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Elementary Education, and management experience in a licensed preschool, childcare center, or private/public school are preferred. A director's license is required.

The Director’s responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks that center around promoting the School’s programs and initiatives.
The Assistant Director will:
- Assist the School in the implementation and support of all School programs & initiatives
- Assist the School in the selection and training of faculty
- Support, coach, and establish strong bonds with faculty
- Manage and execute professional training programs for faculty
- Develop and oversee special and innovative programs to promote the School’s goals
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our families
- Promote School program and initiatives
- Help grow and sustain consistent enrollment
- Promote Goddard Systems Quality Assurance
- Attend to each family's needs
- Promote and project a positive, sensitive, and supportive outlook
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children, parents, and faculty
- Maintain school licensing; manage payroll and inventory budgets of the School
- Perform any other task required for the daily operation of the School
Job Requirements
- Meets the minimum KS licensing requirements (Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred)
- Prefer 4 years’ experience in a licensed preschool/childcare
- Must have prior experience in supporting and managing preschool faculty
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Work closely with multiple supervisors, faculty, parents, and children
- Aptitude for technology in education including use of Smart Boards
- Familiarity with State licensing requirements
- Understanding of S.T.E.A.M. and 21st Century Learning Skills
- Commitment to Professional Development
- Director's license for over 100 students
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
