Director of Recreation

• Manage activities department staff, assign activities/tasks/deliveries/programs etc.

• Working with corporate guidelines to develop, plan, and implement monthly calendar of recreational programs and activities and plan special events based on the individual needs of residents

• Set up/break down and lead therapeutic activities to help residents with physical, mental, or psychosocial needs

• Document/track resident attendance during activities and resident council

• Review activity assessments for residents

• Organize & obtain department supplies

• Create department staff schedule and track & approve staff pto requests

• Assist in staff and resident birthday celebrations

• Involved in employee engagement activities.

• Must have LTC or skilled nursing facility experience (REQUIRED)

• Experience in care planning, MDS and overall program management (preferred)

• Possess excellent interpersonal skills and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Director of Recreation 2 years experience (preferred)

• Musical talent is a plus!

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (hours can vary on event days). Occasionally required to work the weekends, evenings, etc.

Salary: UP TO $75,000 a year
