With a track record of investigating, litigating, and settling numerous mesothelioma and asbestos lung cancer cases, the firm is dedicated to seeking justice for those affected. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to join our fast-paced growing firm! This role is essential for timely settlement disbursements to our clients. This position requires a commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.
Duties:
- Input daily client settlement deposits
- Calculate settlement disbursements to clients and co-counsel
- Ensure the accurate and timely process of settlement and lien disbursements
- Communicate with clients as to the status of their settlement payments
- Update accounting workbooks and client database
- Balance client escrow accounts to client trust liability and law firm database on a monthly basis
- Investigate discrepancies
- Prepare and participate in daily Zoom meetings
- Write procedures to document process
- The use of Zoom phone is required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization and communication skills are crucial for this role
- Reading and understanding retainer agreements, co-counsel agreements, etc.
- Reading and understanding agreements and medical lien reports
Location: Bryn Mawr, PA
Comp Package: Starting salary of $45,000 based on skills and experience, Bonus, Profit Sharing, Full Benefits, 401K
