The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD is hiring a Billing Coordinator for their IDD team! We're seeking a detail-oriented individual, to play a key role under the guidance of the Manager of Residential and TxHmL. In this position, you'll be instrumental in managing our invoicing process, from preparation to maintenance. You'll also engage in running reports and researching to resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in our financial operations. Your role in Action:
- Oversee all aspects of billing processes and ensure each invoice is crafted with precision and care.
- Play a pivotal role in the preparation of financial reports, turning numbers into insightful stories that guide our fiscal decisions.
- Provide accurate and punctual information that is crucial for effective budgeting and strategic planning.
- Take ownership of invoicing and billing reconciliation, while keeping a vigilant eye on accounts receivable and reporting metrics.
- Proactively follow up on overdue payments and engage with providers to amicably settle outstanding balances.
- Uphold the highest standards of compliance with billing regulations and internal agency policies.
What qualifications you will need:
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
Experience:
- Must have at least (1) year related experience.
Other Key Qualifications:
- Well- developed interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Team player
- Desire to provide a high level of customer service.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge regarding billing procedures and requirements for various pay sources preferred.
- Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality of all work-related matters.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of the agency.
- Knowledge of Microsoft excel.
