What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scrum Master position at The Hartford?
The Hartford is looking for a Scrum Master to join us on our transformation to Lean-Agile ways of working. The Scrum Master’s primary role is to be a servant leader and coach for the Agile delivery team. This person will help educate the team in Lean-Agile, Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), ensuring that the agreed Lean-Agile process is being followed and aligns with The Hartford’s Enterprise Business Delivery Model. They also help remove impediments, and foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master - Bachelor degree in Communications, Business, Computer Science, or related discipline - Previous experience in any part of the software development lifecycle – as developer, tester, analyst, product owner, project manager, etc. is a plus - Experience using agile toolsets such as Agile Central - Strong communication, facilitation, presentation and consensus building skills - Working knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices - Working knowledge of Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Burn-down Metrics, Velocity, etc. Equal Opportunity Employer/ Females/ Minorities/ Veterans/ Disability/ Sexual Orientation/ Gender Identity or Expression/ Religion/ Age Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship
