Job Location: Hershey, PA – hybrid work from office or home 1-4 days per week
Summary:
This position supports the Logistics Planning and Analysis team by providing report generation, annual plan support and complex analysis of company-wide supply chain data. It requires a highly analytical, technical, and systems-oriented individual. Use database and quantitative techniques to evaluate the impact of various operations and finance input variables on the overall performance and cost of Hershey’s supply chain network. With minimal direction, use complex analytical tools – internally derived models, or externally developed tools such as SAP, BW, Alteryx, Power BI, MS Access, MS Excel, Chainalytics or other applications as identified. Independently perform complex analyses utilizing data from multiple sources to support the decision making process, make recommendations, and suggest alternatives.
Responsibilities:
- Distribution and Transportation reporting.
- Support continuous improvement efforts for Distribution/Transportation Department.
- Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivity.
- Participate in reoccurring meetings with key Distribution/Transportation Management and 3PL Operators.
- Provide monthly updates at the North American Supply Chain Continuous Improvement meetings.
- Perform complex analysis of Hershey’s network, to include plant, co-manufacturing, co-pack, distribution, and transportation, in order to make recommendations supporting the mid-term and long-term distribution network strategy.
- Using data and input from multiples sources, develop observations, communicate implications, and make recommendations to optimize the network, minimize costs, and improve productivity.
- Assist in the development and presentation of analytical results, recommendations, and plans to senior management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proven data mining and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in or ability to quickly learn how to use multiple data sources including Alteryx, Power BI, BW, SAP, and WMS and TMS systems
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of supply chain operations
- Strong financial and business mindset
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
- Alteryx or Power BI experience a plus
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field or equivalent analytical supply chain experience.
- Minimum of 0-4 years’ experience in supply chain, business, or other analytical function.
