Summary:
Under light supervision monitor ingredient, in-process, or finished product quality through analytical testing. Perform simple to moderately complex wet chemistry techniques (sample preparation, extraction, and analysis). Perform moderately complex chemical analyses using analytical equipment. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot instrumentation. Prepare standards and controls. Record, compute, and evaluate data as well as input data into LIMS.
Responsibilities include providing timely and accurate analytical chemistry testing results for assigned analyses, organization and maintenance of documentation, communication with internal customers, and providing support to manufacturing quality analyses as needed.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical chemistry analyses. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot moderately complex instruments.
- Provide support to manufacturing quality analyses.
- Record, compute, and evaluate data as well as input data into LIMS. Maintain all relevant documentation that pertains to assigned analyses and instruments.
- Maintain lab sanitation and follow safety procedures.
- Sample preparation
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- B.S. in Chemistry, Food Science, or related field - preferred.
- Chemistry laboratory experience preferred.
