Project Engineer III
Summary
Works independently in performing most assignments. Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work as part of a major project or total project. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and infrequently lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Essential Functions
- Communicate with clients to identify the scope of engineering services required.
- Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex assignments.
- Performs detailed and accurate analysis and design necessary to fulfill the scope of engineering services.
- Prepares specifications and provides final construction bid documents conforming to the scope of engineering services for supervisor’s review and approval.
- Conducts periodic construction site observations for the project and attends project meetings as required by clients.
- Performs monthly billing of clients for work completed.
- Acts as a project liaison between clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Assists in preparation of proposals and/or assists in presentations for potential jobs.
- Routinely communicates with Principals, Design Group Leaders, Project Managers, CADD technicians, engineering technicians, surveyors, government agencies, contractors, subcontractors, and administrative staff.
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
- Must be able to work with clients to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Computer literate with emphasis on continued development/ knowledge of various engineering software programs as appropriate. AutoCAD is a plus.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- BS in Civil Engineering or technical equivalent.
- Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) required and 4 years of experience or, 6 years plus of steadily progressing engineering skills and experience
