What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Enrichment Director position at The Homeplace of Henderson?
This candidate is responsible for organizing all social activities both in and out of the facility. He or she provides residents with an interesting, stimulating and varied calendar of events designed to meet as many of the social and emotional needs of the residents as possible. Above all, you will exhibit a passion for serving seniors while contributing to the positive environment our residents are proud to call home.
Responsibilities:
- Organize, implement, evaluate and direct the overall operation of the campus Life Enrichment (Recreation/Activity) programs.
- Assess resident preferences and develop a program of opportunities and activities that are meaningful to the residents served and enhance their sense of well-being (identity, growth, autonomy, security, connectedness, meaning and joy.)
- Provide overall leadership to and management of Life Enrichment Associates.
- Coordinate a dynamic and active volunteer program.
- Ensure that documentation adheres to best practices and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with management, co-workers, residents, families, visitors, and other disciplines.
- Adheres to procedures for fire, life safety, disaster, security, worker safety and other emergency procedures.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA policies.
- Seek out and perform other duties as assigned or needed.
- Understands the mission of Homeplace is to ensure quality care and services are being delivered to ensure each day is the best day possible.
Salary : $30,300 - $38,300
