What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Store Assistant Manager in Training position at The Horseman's Store?
The Retail Store Assistant Manager in Training will be responsible for assisting the store manager to ensure that all store operations are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures. This includes managing the day-to-day operations of the store, such as directing staff, assisting customers, and ensuring that merchandising is maintained. The Store Assistant Manager Trainee will also be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, as well as coordinating with the district manager to meet company targets.
Pay will be determined by experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including customer service area and stock room
- Assist customers to ensure they find what they need
- Work with the store manager to ensure that production goals are met
- Work closely with vendor partners to resolve any issues or concerns
- Coordinate with the district manager on company targets
- Assist with payroll and inventory management
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills specifically with customers, sales leadership team, and associates.
- Able to stand and move about for extended periods of time with only short rest breaks; reach, bend, stoop, etc. to handle products.
- Available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while working in a fast‐paced and deadline‐oriented environment.
- Ability to perform all Essential Job Functions.
- Proficient with technology. Basic Computer Skills.
