What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Tech I Per Diem Rotate position at The Hospitals of Providence - East Campus?
Summary:
Assist the Pharmacist in medication preparation and distribution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education
High School Diploma plus or minus Technical or Vocational training
Required Licenses/Certifications
• National Technician Certification
• Current license from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• ACPE 40 hour Sterile product certification in Sterile Compounding and Aseptic
technique
• Non- IV certified pharmacy technicians must obtain ACPE Provider Accredited IV Training Course (40 hours) within 90 days from date of hire (training will be provided on site)
Knowledge and Abilities (Preferred)
Pre-packaging drug equipment (Fast Pak, Medidose), AS400, Pyxis applications, and compounding equipment for TPN’s, Cerner System.
