What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Design Intern position at The Howard Company?

We are looking for a motivated Industrial Design Intern to join our team this summer (mid-May through August). The industrial design student will be given assignments collaborating with engineers and designers on new and existing projects relating to indoor menu board systems, drive-thru menu board systems, and POP.
Skills used in this role include but are not limited to :
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Illustrator, Photoshop, sketch tablet software)
- SolidWorks experience is beneficial
- Sketching and Conceptualization
- Knowledge of design principles
- Experience with prototyping / model making
- Strong understanding of user experience / user centered design
- Familiar with materials and manufacturing processes
