What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at The HR Team?
Atlantic Design, Inc., a small & growing manufacturing company located in the Baltimore / White Marsh area, currently has an immediate need for a full-time Accounting Assistant. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who has strong accuracy, detail orientation and organizational skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Data entry.
- Reconciling invoices (in Quickbooks and our inventory software).
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Processing vendor payments.
- Invoicing customers for parts, which includes sales tax calculations (via tax software).
- Preparing reports.
- Filing.
- Use of accounting, tax and inventory software to process business transactions.
- Communication with customers.
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Analytical, highly organized and have meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing business with national sales.
- Creative problem solvers.
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- 2 or more year of accounting clerical or relevant experience.
- General bookkeeping and invoicing experience required.
- Math knowledge required.
- Experience in an office setting.
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer skills.
It would be great if you have:
- Accounting coursework or Associates degree in Accounting a plus.
- Quickbooks experience.
- A willingness to grow and learn, and to take on more responsibility over time.
Starting pay will be $18 - $24 per hour, depending on experience and training needed.
